Animal Hospital Policies
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment only, but walk-ins are accommodated and will be seen as time allows. Please be aware the order of priority is as follows: 1) Emergencies, 2) Appointments, 3) Sick walk-ins, 4) Routine procedure walk-ins. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time, and a phone call is greatly appreciated if an appointment needs to be re-scheduled.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all pets must be on a leash, or in a carrier, and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
For your convenience, ‘drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet during the morning hours and leave him/her with us for the day, rather than waiting for a veterinarian to become available. We will ask you to drop off' sometime in the morning to allow our doctors to examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and discharge instructions will be provided for you at the time you pick up your pet.
We strive to ensure that all our fees are fair and reasonable and you are encouraged to discuss charges before services are rendered. Our fees are based upon time spent treating/evaluating, medication used, diagnostic testing and procedures performed to ensure the best possible care and outcome for your pet. Remember your pet's doctor wears several different hats: radiologist, dentist, surgeon, anesthesiologist, pharmacist, and many more. Payment is requested at the time service is rendered, unless prior arrangements have been made. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit cards, Care Credit, cash, personal checks and money orders.
